Does the Peterest litter box require special litter?
The Peterest cat litter box does not require specific or expensive cat litter. It can be used with highly absorbent small-grain clay litter or micro crystal litter. We recommend using Peterest Premium silica litter.
DO NOT use recycled paper, tofu, pine, corn, or wheat litter
How often do I need to change the waste receptacle?
It depends on the number, size, breed, and gender of your cats. For a single average-sized cat, you will need to change it every 5 to 7 days. (change it if it is full)
How do I know when I should scoop?
The short plastic pole will pop up when your cat enters the box automatically. Then, you know it’s time to scoop. You can press the pole to reset it.
How to clean up the rake?
The rake can be detached easily and cleaned thoroughly.
Does Peterest need electricity?
No electricity is needed. You can put Peterest anywhere.
How many cats can use the Peterest
It could work for up to two or three cats per unit, but you will need to clean the waste bin more frequently.
Can l reuse the waste receptacle?
Yes, you can. We do not recommend doing so as it may breed bacteria in the waste receptacle. If you choose to reuse it, please remember to sanitize it properly

How do I Use Peterest Premium Litter?
Using NanoClean Litter is simple and straightforward. Here's how:
- Fill a clean litter box with the appropriate amount of Peterest Litter, ensuring a depth of at least 1.8 inches.
- Daily, remove your cat's feces from the litter box, gently shaking off any excess litter granules while scooping.
- After approximately a month of use, empty the contents of the litter box into a trash bag. If any residue remains, thoroughly clean the box before adding fresh litter.
- Thanks to its super absorbent silica gels, NanoClean effectively traps urine and odors as water evaporates. Simply scoop and dispose of solid waste as needed.
- For a consistently clean experience, replace all the litter in the box monthly.
Will My Cat Adjust to Peterest Premium Litter Easily?
While most cats readily adapt to Peterest Premium Litter, some may require assistance during the transition period. Cats can be selective, and factors like unfamiliar texture, color, or scent may cause hesitation.
Don't worry, we have tips to ensure a seamless transition! Try incorporating one poop and urine clump from the old litter into the new Peterest Premium Litter fill. This familiar scent will help your cat feel at ease and quickly adjust. Many of our furry friends have successfully made the switch using this method!
Alternatively, you can mix 75% Peterest Premiumn Litter with 25% of the old litter on top. Your cat will naturally blend the litter, making it easier to transition fully to NanoClean next month. Here's to happy littering!
